Meet Angus

Angus graduated from medical school at The University of Melbourne in 2006, and completed his general surgical training through Alfred Health. Upon successfully obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015, he underwent subspecialty training in colorectal surgery at Cabrini and Epworth hospital. Prior to settling in Bendigo, Angus spent two years at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio, USA) as a colorectal surgery fellow and associate staff surgeon, managing complex inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.  

 

He has published various book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles in relation to inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer and pelvic floor disorders. (Please click on this link for further information: ResearchGate)

 

He currently offers consultations and surgical management for a wide range of both Colorectal and General Surgical conditions. He has special interests in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, surgery for inflammatory bowel disease and a broad range of anorectal procedures. He has visiting rights to Bendigo Health, Castlemaine Health, St John of God Hospital and Bendigo Day Surgery.

 

He is currently a member of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a provisional member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) due to his extensive subspecialty training.
